Your suspension and tires can have their own set of problems. Lets take a look at them now. REAR OF CAR HANGS LOW: Replace the rear springs. SUSPENSION RATTLES WHILE TRAVELING OVER ROUGH ROADS: Grab and shake shocks for looseness and if they are loose retighten them. Also, check for worn rubber bushing. GRINDING, RATTLING, WHINNING, GRUMBLING, HUMMING OR CLACKING NOISE AT FRONT OR REAR WHEELS WHILE CAR IS MOVING: Grab the top and bottom of each tire while it is off the ground and shake feeling for play. If play is evident, adjust the wheel bearing carter knife . If the problem continues, have the wheel bearings replaced for that wheel. CAR FLOATS OR ROCKS UP AND DOWN AFTER GOING OVER RUTS AND BUMPS: Rock the car up and down. If it keeps on rocking after releasing, you probably have worn shocks and they should be replaced. Also check for sagging springs. CLUNKING OR HEAVY THUDDING NOISE WHEN GOING OVER RUTS AND BUMPS: Test for worn shock absorbers as well as check for worn rubber bushings and sagging springs. Replace any worn parts. Also make sure alignment shims and wheel are tight and have the ball joints tested for looseness.
